The Story
QuickSell Pro started as a way to fix the chaos of garage sale day — handwritten price tags, lost track of what sold, a shoebox full of cash and no real record of any of it. What began as a simple inventory and barcode tool has grown into a genuinely powerful point-of-sale system, one that's simple enough to set up in minutes but capable enough to run a full sale from start to finish.
What It Does
Snap a photo, add a description and price, and you're done. Items can be bulk-imported from a spreadsheet, tracked by quantity, and managed with quick swipe-to-edit and swipe-to-delete gestures.
A floating cart shows your running total as you go. Apply sales tax and cart-wide discounts in a tap, calculate cash change automatically, or accept digital payments on the spot — just save your Zelle, PayPal, and Cash App QR codes right in the app, and pull up whichever one your customer prefers at checkout.
Print professional barcode labels — sized for standard Avery sheets — and ring items up with your phone's camera or a Bluetooth scanner. Smart scan logic keeps the line moving and prevents accidental duplicate scans.
A visual sales dashboard shows revenue trends, your top sellers, and a cash-vs-digital breakdown at a glance. Refund or void a sale in a tap — inventory and totals update automatically, no manual math required.
Owner settlements automatically track exactly what's owed to each person — Mom, Dad, Aunt Mary — by the end of the day, no separate spreadsheet needed.
Price items on your iPhone, then run the sale from your iPad — inventory, sales history, and settings sync automatically across your devices through iCloud, no subscription required.
Why I Built It
This was a project I'd wanted to build for years — and watching it grow from a simple labeling tool into something that genuinely replaces a cash register and a notebook has been one of the most satisfying parts of doing this work.
